Fort Collins seems to be filled with a growing population of individuals who strive to live a healthier lifestyle by following a meat free diet. Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants within Fort Collins that provide vegetarians options for any type of meal, any time of the day.

1. Rainbow Restaurant

A popular breakfast hot spot located on 212 W. Laurel Street, the Rainbow has been family owned since 1976. The Rainbow provides a diverse menu and options for all dietary restrictions for vegan’s, vegetarian’s, those who are gluten free and those who don’t care what they eat, as long as it tastes good. So if you are sick of trying to find the breakfast place that is ideal for everyone and their dietary needs, look no further than the Rainbow.

2. Tasty Harmony

Their website tells it all, Tasty Harmony is “organic vegetarian goodness.” Another fan favorite and popular lunch spot is located on 60 W. Oak Street in Old Town. They are known for their dedication and commitment to provide plant-based food in a variety of different meal plates. For the vegetarians who are craving the idea of a burger, but not the meat that comes with it, that is where the Big Boy Burger, one of the items on their menu, comes in to satisfy your craving.

3. Rush Bowls

Sometimes it can be challenging to get all the nutrients, vitamins and protein the body needs when living a vegetarian lifestyle. This is why Rush Bowls can be the perfect source for a “pick me up” snack during a busy day that provides the essential nutrients the body needs. Their acai bowls are full of healthy and organic ingredients to help promote a healthy lifestyle. Although at the moment, Rush Bowl’s main store is located at 3581 E Harmony Rd, word on the street is a new Rush Bowl is opening in the campus west area on Elizabeth Street.

4. The Gold Leaf Collective

The Gold Leaf Collective stands out as a change of pace dinner spot as it is the first 100 percent Vegan restaurant to be in Fort Collins. Located on 120 W. Laurel Street, the Gold Leaf Collective team has created a diverse menu ranging from a pulled BBQ mushroom sandwich to a Poke bowl. Not only does the Gold Leaf Collective provide an extensive menu to help any number of cravings, you can add avocado to anything on the menu. Which to me, is a huge win for any avocado fan.

5. Butter Cream Cupcakery

To be fair, it is not hard to find a vegetarian dessert place anywhere. That is why Butter Cream Cupcakery goes a step beyond in their dessert game and provides the perfect place for people who are both gluten free and vegan to still have an amazing cupcake. With two locations around Fort Collins, it is the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth. Family owned and operated, this cupcakery not only has classic flavors like red velvet, chocolate and vanilla bean but they also have special daily flavors to mix things up.

If you are a vegetarian in Fort Collins or are feeling adventurous to mix up what you eat in a day, consider trying one of these five restaurants. I promise they will not disappoint you.
