The Legendary Rawon In Indonesia

Indonesia has a variety of special foods for each region, from Sabang to Merauke, From Rondo to Rote. Each one of this fod has it on characteristics, starting from uniqueness, from the taste, and the from the apperance of the food it self. And almost all of this food have a lot of fans.

This time i will only discuss one of the dishes, it is called Rawon. Rawon is a meat soup which is very famous in Indonesia. This food comes from East Java region of Indonesia. A lot of Indonesian people come to East Java to taste this food. With the appereance of this food that is lack in color, then the tender of the beef which has been boiled for a long time in this black sauce. It makes the taste very uniqe and delicious. Enjoyed with hot steam white rice, bean sprouts, scallions, and very spicy East Javanese special sauce, which make this Rawon enjoyable to eat.

This dish is usually serve on seperate plate with rice, the sprouts, and scallion are usually put together in the Rawon Bowl. Rawon is usually sold in a certain restaurant, and also in street stall. But i suggest looking for a restaurant that has been seeling this food for a long time, for example in the city of Malang, this Rawon sold at “ Warung Brintik “ they have very appitizing Rawon taste and the originality of the taste has been maintained from time to time. About the price don’t doubt it it is very affordable and commensurate with the very good taste.
