What 20 seconds of Insane courage can do?

Life is difficult and the only thing that separates you from the rest of the world is courage. Every great person who became great did something courageous in life. Because risk has its rewards and you only take risks when you have the courage.

You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it. — We Bought a Zoo (2011)

Since the day I bought my motorcycle I had an itch to ride my bike and travel to the places I always wanted to. But the only thing stopping me was having the courage to do so, I was always looking for excuses and reasons that why I can’t go do it. Sometimes I would be thinking I can’t do it alone I need someone who would join me but nobody would say yes to driving 7 hours on a motorcycle, so maybe some other time. Then I would think okay I would do it alone but my parents would not say yes it’s too dangerous, so again I thought maybe some other time.

But recently I have had enough of these excuses and reasons of why I can’t do it. So I started thinking strategically and planned out exactly how I will do it, what I will need and what I am gonna do to make it happen. So I found a place with reasonable distance to go to, Udaipur which is around 400KM from Indore and will take almost 6.5 to 7 hours to complete. Then I figured out the finances of the trip that is fuel consumption, hotel costs etc. Then I wrote all of this down and realized it can be done easily, all I need is some courage to actually do it.

So even after all this planning I still did not have the courage to actually do it, I was scared because it was risky and dangerous. But as I was sitting with this plan in my head it was getting difficult to say no to myself again and again over just the reason that it was dangerous and risky. Finally, I said let’s do it, let’s make it happen, so I went ahead and asked my parents being super cool they said yes. Thanks, Maa, papa. 🙂

And Finally, I did it. Here is the proof, I completed 455 KM on my ride back in 410 minutes(6 hours 50 minutes) at an average speed of 71KM/H. Similar readings were there on my way there.

So if anyone out there has the itch in the back of your mind to do something may it be crazy or may it be dangerous just go ahead and do it. Find the courage inside you to make it happen because the rewards of such an act are just as insane as the courage it requires you to achieve it. Which I will share in the future articles so don’t forget to keep reading my blog.
