Orbits
This morning I woke up to a few notifications; one of which was that my father shared a video to our family’s Whatsapp group. The video was about the miracles of the Quran, where in verse 40 of Chapter Yassin, the phrase كل في فلك meant ‘revolving around its axis’ whilst referring to the arrangement of the Sun, moon and planets in the galaxy.
If we were to separate these arabic letters to their individual form like this: ك ل ف ي ف ل ك , we are able to see how its order mirrors its meaning. The letters ك،ل and ف revolve around ي. I was definitely awestruck upon realising this. How beautiful, how intricate these verses have been created, by none other than the Creator himself.
The reason I’m so moved by this discovery is not just because it is mindblowing, but because it was shared by a man I have always looked up to. I am the eldest among my siblings and there were tough times that we as a family had gone through, with me being the only child to at least have an understanding of the weight my parents had to bear.
So on this blessed Friday morning, I am reminded of how much my dad has changed, and how grateful I should be for being given such an amazing guardian, of whom I am definitely proud of, and see him develop as the pillar of the family.
