Hi Johnny. Thanks for this. It makes me wonder how many times I read a novel that didn’t really describe the main character — but my brain rendered them anyway based on, say, their personality (but I perhaps retrospectively assume the author told me what my brain made).
Levelling ruins loot-shooter design, I think. You don’t choose the gear that goes around your specific build or strategy — it inclines you to go for the higher numbers, even if those numbers are contrary or useless to how you want to develop your character.
