These tools may help.
Many of us are very kind to perfect strangers. We would go out of our way, if need be, to help someone. This is a commendable trait to have. However, so many of us would not even think twice to extend this same courtesy to ourselves. What´s wrong with this picture?
The Huffington Post reported a study of more than 3,000 adolescent girls showed that 7 out of 10 believe they are no good. We do not need any study to tell us that we live in a society with a self-esteem deficit. Hatefulness towards ourselves is covered neatly with nice seemingly, innocent labels such as low self-esteem or poor-self image. This stems from us accepting a barrage of sadistic thoughts that comes to our minds many times so smoothly, that we do not even notice we are under attack. Some people are their own worst enemy.
In this book, we will explore what lies beneath the surface, going deep underneath our facades by asking tough questions, recognizing what the problems are, and tackling them head-on by:
searching for toxic behaviors
understanding the importance of your uniqueness
actively combating negative thoughts/replacing them with positive ones
the necessity of forgiveness
accepting permission to be kind to yourself
learning to love yourself and accepting your body (which has been very faithful to you by the way)
pampering and celebrating yourself (becoming your best friend).
This era of Covid 19, is filled with many restrictions; it is a recipe for disaster for our thoughts and our emotions. This book encourages you to take a deeper look at the complex human that you are by unraveling the mysteries of your soul/emotions. Thus seeing yourself through the eyes of love and finally mastering the art of how to love yourself well.
