We’re taking a tougher stance on nudity

Emerald was designed to be a place to meet people; We wanted to create an open; fun and clean place for people to meet new people from around the world. We have always tried our best to remove nsfw content from our platform.

We wanted to be different from other random chat platforms which were riddled with nudity, bots and spam.

To that end, we have had rigorous moderation of our platform to get rid of users who upload or stream content that is against our rules and policies.

We are now proud to announce we are now using state of the art AI technology to scan images for nsfw content in real time.

Users should notice that they now encounter far less nsfw content in video chat mode.

Users who have been breaking the rules and are violating our nsfw policy will find it much harder to evade bans.

We’ve implemented this change at the request of our userbase and to keep in-line with our original vision of the product as a universal, safe and clean platform to meet people.
