Zero Point in North Sikkim is a famous tourist destination. It is one of the favorite places of the people of Bangladesh like India. Earlier it was closed but in 2016 Sikkim was opened for Bangladeshi tourists. And this place is very dear to the people of Bangladesh. So as soon as it was hot, they left for Sikkim. So the news of this rule is considered bad news for Bangladeshi travel lovers. From Sikkim the distance of zero point is 112.5 km and to reach at zero point from Sikkim, it takes approximately 4hr

This is the last border point of North Sikkim, Yamesamdong, also known as Zero Point. China is right next to this border. It can be called a kind of border. So expecting ordinary people to go after Zero Point is forbidden. Only military personnel move. The distance to this zero point is 26 km from Yamthang Valley. This valley is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. From now on you have to cross the zero point. Its height is 15,300 feet.

March-April is the best time to visit Zero Point. This time the road is open and you get snow. The amount of snow here decreases in May but the environment remains pleasant. All the tourists from Bangladesh go to Zero Point via Lachung.

Stay overnight in Lachung, then return the next morning to Zero Point to see Yamthang Valley. But now that the Lachung package is here, Bangladeshi people can’t go to John’s Zero Point. They will return from Lachung to the Yamthang Valley, the Rhododendron Sanctuary. Earlier drivers could go to Zero Point with 3000–3500 rupees.

Now let’s come to the real reason why Bangladeshi tourists are not allowed to go to Zero Point. A few days ago, some Bangladeshi tourists forged Aadhaar cards and visited some places in Sikkim, which are off-limits to foreign tourists. When they took pictures of the place and published them on social media, it came to the notice of the Indian Army.
In addition, some Bangladeshi tourists climbed Mount Cutway in Lachung, took a photo of their country’s flag, the flag of Bangladesh, and posted it on Instagram.

It has been reported that if any driver is found violating this rule, his car will also be confiscated. So none of the people who visited Sikkim this Eid visited Zero Point. They have to go back to see the snow-capped mountains from afar. Apart from the Indian citizens who want to go to Zero Point and Aadhaar card, they have to see a voter card/driving license/birth certificate or something.
