1 Year of Sobriety

In March of 2017, I decided to go full on sober. I was 26 years old, and had just graduated college a year ago. I had been drinking since I was 18 years old, and decided that I was on the brink of falling into a kind of coma with alcohol.

I needed to break free from that destructive relationship and shock my body! So I did it. I quit drinking for a year.

I probably pissed off a few of my friends when I went out and didn’t drink; I remember this one Korean girl in Hong Kong was kind of sad that I didn’t drink, but I stuck through it anyway.

And it was a great thing! I focused on my career, and got really into finance and bitcoin/cryptocurrencies all the way until May 2018, when I started moderately drinking again (due to a sales job but that’s another story).

I highly recommend everyone to try a year of sobriety out. When/If you ever decide to moderately drink, you will have a lot more control. Trust me!
