2 Chainz invited members of the press out to Los Angeles, California to preview his cannabis brand, GAS. MARY editor-in-chief Adrian Farquharson sat with him to discuss GAS, the role of cannabis in his life, entrepreneurs of color entering the industry, and much more.

2 Chainz partnered with creative firm Green Street Agency and Westside Station dispensary to exclusively manufacture and distribute GAS in California. The initial product offerings consist of a selection of premium flower and pre-rolled joints arriving in dispensaries across California beginning October 25th. Concentrates as well as topicals and edibles will soon follow.

“GAS,” a euphemism for premium cannabis, was coined and popularized by 2 Chainz. The brand name is a testament to the premium quality as well as the top consumer experience it aims to deliver. In order to ensure that happens, 2 Chainz is personally active in all aspects of the company, from strain-naming to branding and logos.

“I know quality GAS by the look, the feel, the smoke,” says 2 Chainz. “GAS stands for one thing, and you’ll know it when you experience it. It’s top-end, but at an affordable price, because I want everyone to be able to understand that GAS is the real fire.”
