What is so scary about VR and AR?

Mixed Reality, Hyper Reality, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, they all look and sound scary at the first sight. The future will be digital, but it will be “human-centric”. We will be in the middle of things, we will be the center brain and technologies will be our senses : vision, smell, hear, taste and touch.

New Reality

Our reality will change, but not in a bad way, just in a way of using less energy for day to day jobs. We will change our “45 degree” view to a normal “90 degree”. I know it sounds funny, but think about the way we look to our mobile or computer, then think about the way you look in VR or AR, and you will understand. But the big change will be that, we will have all the knowledge and info just a glance away. Everything will be just in front of us!

Old vs New

If the new Digital Realities might look scary, think about the first “big digital reality” you experienced… It is called FACEBOOK. It is the first virtual reality experience, we all “tune-up” our virtual personas, we all share our virtues and best photos. We created our virtual reality with the people we like and know.

We all experienced our share of AR by searching the Google or Wikipedia about a place or person. Now and much more in the future this searching will be live “as you look”. We all want to know more about the labels on supermarket or the how an engine looks like form inside, this will be easy with Augmented reality wearable.

So,

… do not be scared by the New Realities, we already experience VR and AR in our life and they did not hurt us! Embrace the Future with all its technology!
