Alexander Adamescu: “Romania does not want to judge, she wants to kill the opponent”. I have not received my father’s autopsy report for 7 months.

The case of Alexander Adamescu is well-known to the public. The son of the well-known businessman Dan Adamescu, the owner of the Astra insurance company and of the daily “România Liberă”, deceased suspect in custody, is struggling with the DNA to preserve his freedom.

Alexander, established in London for a long time, he appealed to the British courts for not being extradited on the basis of a European arrest warrant issued in Bucharest. He is not definitively convicted in any criminal case, but the DNA is strongly demanding for his arrest. The extradition of Alexander Adamescu was demanded on the basis of a bribe charge with his father, Dan Adamescu. Alexander Adamescu’s European arrest warrant is based on a denunciation made by a lawyer from one of the Adamescu’s family, whom the family is claiming to have stolen the sum of 100,000 euros.

Unscrupulous governments

At the request of the DNA, in May 2016, the Bucharest Court issued a warrant for preventive arrest in the name of Bogdan Alexander Adamescu, the son of businessman Dan Adamescu, accused of giving bribes. Since then, the British court must take a final decision.

There have been many international positions regarding his case. According to the “Romania Libera” daily, Mitchell Belfer, the publisher of a legal publication, said that “what happened to Alexander Adamescu and his family is an example of how the European arrest warrant has become a tool of persecution Used by unscrupulous governments.

The report by British journalist David Clark made public in 2016, and his testimony before the Helsinki Committee on Security and Cooperation in Europe-US Helsinki in June 2017 is in the same note: “In parallel with the investigation of corruption cases, there are reasons to conclude that the Romania’s anticorruption has also provided a convenient coverage for influencing the political score and for grave violations of human rights, which show a disorder of the rule of law. Indeed, the methods commonly used in the investigation of corruption have a considerable degree of continuity with the practices and attitudes of the communist era. “

“Romania, the country of parallel systems”

As you can see, it is not the fact that the foundation of the anti-corruption fight is attacked, but the cases in which this fight is used to score political fights are brought to light.

After the Puiu Popovici case, I wrote an editorial titled “Romania, the country of parallel systems. Why did Popoviciu, Ghiţă and Adamescu flee the DNA anger? “

I was saying there, trying to explain what happened that Sebastian Ghita, Alexandre Adamescu, Puiu Popoviciu are the best-known fugitives in recent months. “Everybody fights in the courts so they will not return to the country, preferring prison or arrest anywhere else than in Romania.

All of them claim that in Romania, the anti-corruption fight has become an abusive mechanism that when triggering a prosecution against you, one cannot escape, it had become part of a system that has perfected over the past 12 years — the Public execution recipe is almost flawless. “

I will not resume all of the issues from my editorial, because much of you have already read it. What I want to propose today is to read the reply of Alexander Adamescu, the son of businessman Dan Adamescu, after the publication of my editorial. The hue that he wants to do is that his reign did not run from Romania, but he was settled in London many years before the DNA persecution began.

FOTO: Two documents proving that the British authorities were announced by Alexandru Adamescu in 2014 about his London residence and the proof that he had been living in that place since 2012. Thus, the DNA accusation that he would have “Fled to London” is clearly a lie.

Dear Dan,

I attach to you the letter I sent to the London police in September 2014 announcing the British authorities where am I to be found. The arrest did not come in the fall of 2014. It came only in March 2016 when Laura Kovesi officially declared me fugitive in response to the launching of the arbitration against Romania for the destroction of Astra.

I also attach an invoice from the London home in 2012 well before any criminal investigation. I have not escaped to London at all. It’s a big lie propagated by DNA.

I have often spoken about the fabricated file underlying the warrant of arrest and about how some DNA prosecutors have turned an embezzler working in a private company into a star. The evidence presented in court for bribery was pitiful. Despite many hours of trapping, the DNA barely found anything about Dan Adamescu in all those conversations, and certainly nothing of what to actually criminalize him. The file does not contain a single tapping with me!

And yet a Romanian court sentenced Dan Adamescu. It condemned him to a tragic death that could have been be totally prevented. Romania was aware of the serious condition of Dan Adamescu. Numerous witnesses have reported the deterioration of his health, which has been aggravated by inhuman conditions in which he was forced to remain.Romania has ignored the international criticism related to the treatment applied to Dan Adamescu. Even TNG’s lawyer sought assurance from Romania to provide him with the medical care he needed to prevent premature death. And yet, Romania has refused to provide such assurance, even though it would have cost her nothing to provide adequate medical care.

More than 7 months have passed since my father was taken away from me forever. Even to this day I did not receive the report of his autopsy. Not only does Romania try to hide his assassination, it continues with the persecution as if there isn’t something more normal than the destruction of a whole family.

Romania regrets the decision of an International Court in Washington who rightly found that arbitration can not continue if Romania eliminates me as a witness after it has eliminated Dan Adamescu. What would be so serious if we judged, as the rule of law says? Romania would not lose anything if it would suspend the arrest warrant. But Romania does not want to judge, she wants to kill the opponent.

I asked to do a polygraph test and to co-operate with DNA prosecutor Matei in the criminal file that I am accused with my father of that alleged bribe. DNA prosecutor Matei refused!

How cruel and treacherous one must be to continue this masquerade?

Why do I have to be arrested? From the very fear of true justice.

My father is the most eloquent example that there is no justice in Romania at this time.

Until this will change, I will struggle to let know the truth about the situation in Romania.

Alexander Adamescu
