DWNTWN MIA: Urban Renaissance

DWNTWN Miami
Writing to you from the heart of Downtown Miami, just blocks from the American Airline Arena where the 3x NBA champion Miami Heat play, steps to Bayfront Park, where one of the biggest electronic music festival happens yearly, and where luxury brand, Aston Martin decided to translate its legendary design into an exclusive real estate venture. Downtown Miami has seen a lot of changes since Drake had his condo up in Biscayne, and I’m so excited to witness every inch of it.
To those who aren’t familiar, The Greater Downtown Miami consists of:
- Brickell Financial District
- The Central Business District (CBD)
- Art Entertainment District
But, I want to bring to light renaissance of The Central Business District, which is also known as the original Downtown Miami. Just a few 7–10 years ago, Downtown Miami was a ghost town, especially after dark, but as the growth of the city has increased, so has Downtown’s vibrant lifestyle. More and more people are choosing Downtown as the walkability score is gets better, and as more local business open up. As well as the recent residential development, which has added hundreds of housing units to the market and allowed the city to become denser. As more residential units are delivered, downtown increases its capacity for population growth.
A quick market update of Downtown’s condos for everyone:

As a millennial realtor, I’ve seen business owners worry on how they are going to compete with e-commerce, and while it’s difficult, the number one thing that online can’t give you is the live experience. And some exciting new ones have opened in Downtown.
What’s New:
Silverspot Movie Theater Opens In Downtown Miami
Yes!! I love going to the movies, and while CMX at Brickell City Centre has luxury touch to it, Silverspot is my new go to movie theatre. It offers a state of the art design, delectable food and drink selections, 100% laser projection, fully-reclining plush that’s makes it perfect to sit back, eat in, and relax while you watch a movie.
Café Galleria

Very excited to see a different vibes of coffee shops coming to downtown Miami. Café Galleria offers different coffees, matcha teas, teas and pastries while maintaining very retro Miami Vice feels.
What’s to come:

If you don’t know by now, I’m a bit of foodie by heart, and the best news I can ever receive is knowing MORE restaurants are coming to Downtown!
The eight-story “First & First” building was sold the first week of August 2018 to Downtown NS.
The Wynwood-based buyer plans to bring in food and beverage tenants to help activate the area, in place of the current precious metals business, a broker told The Real Deal.
While the building is over 100 years old, I’m excited to see how the owner will renovate and design this hopefully soon to be food hall or court.
