What is email marketing segmentation?

Email segmentation is a technique email marketers use to send highly targeted emails by dividing email subscribers into smaller segments based on set criteria. By narrowing target groups within the email list, your recipients find the emails relevant to their needs. This in turn creates better campaign results.

Segments are created so that a marketer can approach each email list differently rather than sending a message to all the subscribers at once.
