Photoshop Touch Retired

Adobe will discontinue Photoshop Touch for iPhone and iPad from the App Store and other platforms on May 28th 2015. Users can continue to use the software, but there will not be any future updates.

The last update to Touch came in 2012 and the company has since been concentrating on new apps in the Creative Cloud suite, including Photoshop Mix, Photoshop Sketch, Adobe Comp CC, Adobe Shape CC, Adobe Brush CC and Adobe Color CC.

Photoshop Mix offers advanced imaging. Seamless integration with Adobe Creative Cloud so you can open and edit your Photoshop files and Lightroom images on your mobile device. This allows edits like Content-Aware Fill, Upright and Camera Shake Reduction, and ultimately refining work in Photoshop CC.

Amid the announcement of the Photoshop Touch retirement was an interesting taster movie of a new retouching solution for mobile, code-named Project Rigel, expected in late 2015.
