The point being made is that the borderisation of the world causes the problems we see, I cannot pass comment on the US not having visited – my piece is written from the viewpoint of a privileged white European that chooses to live outside the EU, my wife is Russian and we face significant bureaucratic hurdles and costs to do simple things like visit each others’ families, this is patently a ridiculous situation.
