
Stay where you belong.
My friend Ben basically got fired of his internship. I think the management took that decision because they thought that he didn’t fit in the team or with the tasks proposed.
So what happens when somebody that is in the group doesn’t fit ?
You’re right, you kick him.
Or you can try to double the effort you’re making in order to integrate him better. But sometimes you don’t have the time to make the double amount of efforts. I think that’s why they decided to fired him.
It’s been a year and three month that I am in the company and I have a full time position even if I am not the most sociable person of the company.
I am still on of them because I am not making any harm and I am doing the job well. But weirdly I still don’t feel like I really belong to the team.
Friendly speaking, I have all of them in the same city as I am. I stay here because with their company I feel like I belong to that group of friends. Maybe I am wrong. But I don’t feel rejected or anything.
Should I find another company where I feel that I really belong to them ? That’s the real question.
Because it’s where you feel you belong that you’ll stay longer.
It’s like your family: you don’t feel the need of changing family if you have good contacts with them. Well even if you have bad contact with them you cannot change your family. You inherited them. But I think you got what I mean by that.
Stay where you belong. And if you feel like you don’t maybe that you should change it.
