I would like to offer up a modification to the idea of Bad Actors: Bad Acts. A colleague told me about a study they did where they tailed drivers for a day in an attempt to profile “bad drivers”. They discovered that there were no consistently bad drivers, just people having bad driving days. In other words, the arsehole in front of me on the road is just me on a different day. Maybe arsehole who drained the ETH was you when you were 18? There’s no solution in this thinking, but I think it helps temper a reaction inspired by the Bad Act.
