Thanks for reading! What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is an online system that we use to manage applications for permanent residence from skilled workers.

The Express Entry system includes:
-The Federal Skilled Worker Program
-The Federal Skilled Trades Program
-The Canadian Experience Class
-A portion of the Provincial Nominee Programs
If you’re eligible, you’ll be placed in a pool of candidates.

From the pool, we’ll invite the highest-scoring candidates to apply for permanent residence. How Express Entry works

If you’re interested in immigrating to Canada as a skilled worker, Express Entry is the first step. You create an online profile and are entered into a pool of candidates.

From there, you’re ranked against others in the pool using a point-based system. The highest-ranking candidates are invited to apply for permanent residence.

You’re given points for certain human capital factors like your age, education, work experience, and language skills.

You can also get points for things like having a valid job offer or a provincial nomination.

You’re entered into the pool as soon as you submit your profile. Your profile is valid for one year, but it will be reactivated every time you update it with new information (like a new language test score).

To stay active in the pool, make sure to update your profile every six months.

The benefits of Express Entry
There are many benefits to applying for a Canadian visa through Express Entry. Perhaps the most attractive benefit is the fact that it significantly speeds up the process.

Whereas most people who apply for a Canadian visa can expect to wait several months, those who use Express Entry can often have their applications processed in as little as six weeks.

In addition to being faster, Express Entry is also more efficient.

The Canadian government has designed Express Entry to streamline the application process and make it easier for applicants to provide the required documentation. This makes it lesslikely that your application will be delayed or denied due to incomplete information.

Finally, Express Entry makes it easier for you to connect with potential employers in Canada. The Express Entry system includes a Job Bank feature that allows employers to search for candidates who meet their specific needs. This means that if you use Express Entry, you may be more likely to find a job in Canada than if you applied using another.

Who is eligible for Express Entry?
To be eligible for Express Entry, you must first meet the criteria for one of the three programs managed by Express Entry:
-the Federal Skilled Worker Program,
-the Federal Skilled Trades Program, or
-the Canadian Experience Class.

You must also meet additional requirements, such as:
-have a valid job offer, or -a certain level of language proficiency in either English or French.

If you are eligible for Express Entry, you will receive a score based on your individual profile and be placed in a pool with other eligible candidatesThe Express Entry points system

The Express Entry points system is designed to assess and score potential candidates for Canadian permanent residence based on a number of factors. These include age, education, work experience, and language ability. Candidates who score the highest in the point system will be invited to apply for permanent residence.

There are a total of 1200 points available in the Express Entry points system.

Candidates can earn additional points for having a valid job offer from a Canadian employer or for having a spouse or common-law partner who is also eligible under Express Entry.

The Express Entry draw
The Express Entry draw is a system used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to invite eligible candidates to apply for permanent residence.

The Express Entry draw is held periodically, with draws occurring every two weeks or so. In each draw, IRCC issues invitations (also known as “ITAs”) to a certain number of candidates who meet the criteria for that particular draw.

The criteria for each Express Entry draw vary, but usually include factors such as the candidate’s score on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), their work experience, and their level of education.

Invited candidates have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence, along with all supporting documentation. If everything is in order, IRCC will processed the application and make a final decision within six months.Applying for Express Entry
Express Entry is an online system that we use to manage applications for permanent residence from skilled workers.

The first step is to create an online profile. We’ll use the information in your profile — like your skills, education and work experience — to assess if you’d be able to settle in Canada and take part in our economy.

If you meet our eligibility requirements, you’ll be placed in a pool of candidates.

You’ll receive a score based on your answers to questions in the profile. We also give additional points for things like a valid job offer and for having a brother or sister living in Canada who is a citizen or permanent resident.

These points are called “ Comprehensive Ranking System “ (CRS) points..

Every two weeks, we invite candidates with the highest scores in the pool to apply for permanent residence. The number of invitations issued varies depending on Canada’s immigration needs at the time.

After you are accepted
If you are accepted into the Express Entry pool, you will get a score based on the information in your profile.
Thescore is based on:
-Your skills
-Your work experience
-Your language ability
-Your education
If you have a spouse or common-law partner, they will also be given a score.
You will be ranked against other candidates in the Express Entry pool. The highest-scoring candidates will be invited to apply for permanent residence.
