Kyrie demanding a trade now is the biggest shocker of the offseason. He’s an all-NBA talent, but I wouldn’t put him at first team. He is the purest scorer in the NBA, and he does basically nothing else. It’s not for a lack of talent or ability, he has the tools to be a dominant defender and passer but he has never shown interest in much else than scoring which is a shame. The timing is weird too, if he had made his intentions known earlier then they could have likely moved him more quickly.
Kind of surprising, for someone who has been making a plan to blow up every team there’s not really one presented here for the Cavs.
The only players that seem remotely close to Kyrie’s overall court value that might be available right now are Kemba Walker and Eric Bledsoe. Almost everyone else at every position that might provide replacement value is either actually untouchable or can’t be traded for a few months anyway.
