Kyrie will always have the ring and that shot. Now he can chase anything he wants, even though it would make the most basketball sense to stick with the Cavs.
In terms of guard swaps I can’t think of any that a team would be fine doing. Lillard, Kemba, Bledsoe, and maybe Isaiah are the only ones I think the Cavs could target. But I don’t know how those teams would feel to give up their guard to get Kyrie.
I always figured the career arc for LeBron would be the man in Cleveland and ceding the spotlight as he ages to Kyrie. LeBron could coast while Kyrie gets the main focus until crunch time. But if Kyrie wants out then there’s no reason for LeBron to stay at all, dude wants to win and there is no future for the Cavs without Kyrie.
Even non guard swaps would be crazy. Swapping a big for Kyrie doesn’t make sense for any of the teams who could use a point guard, and a talented big is harder to find than a scoring guard (even if Kyrie is the best pure scorer right now).
