Melo can work as a scorer anywhere but I don’t see how he’s worth it. He can play very well without the ball, but the issue has never been figuring out how to use him on offense.
Also, who the hell is praising Presti’s every move? The Harden trade ruined the Thunder’s future forever. They were the Warriors three years before the Warriors. Two of the three 2012 Thunder core (Harden was core even coming off the bench) have won MVP, and Harden will probably get one as well while he’s in Houston.
Presti had an incredible run identifying talent. He hasn’t made that many great moves except getting PG, which doesn’t make up for losing Harden for Adams and Durant for nothing. He chose Ibaka over Harden, which didn’t even make sense back then.
