Fundraising for My Startup Almost Wrecked My Marriage

Evan, this is genius! I think there are some painful yet incredibly valuable truths in your story. Unfortunately, with all of the advising/mentoring I do today, it often takes a rude awakening to most founders’ senses of investment entitlement to realize that funding success has less to do with their widget, than it does the betting on the person behind it. A greater focus on genuine friendships with investors/advisors, and a coachable curiosity rather than any passionless arrogance is something that needs greater emphasis in startup cultures. Thanks for sharing your story man, I look forward to your book.
