I don’t know that behind the scenes victories on charter school regulation will be a major win for the Democrats. School vouchers must be protected at all costs, and cannot become branded as an “entitlement”. Additionally, any attempt to convert a school voucher directly into cash must be curb stomped.

The only benefit I have seen from charter schools is school specialization. That is the only possible upside. Meanwhile, universities are becoming less stringent in their admittance policies, and Burger King doesn’t care where you went to school.
