I ran across this flower on a Sunday afternoon shopping in Lowe’s garden center with my mom. I find it to be one of my best photographs because the colors of the flower are unique and because my love for flowers is a quality I share with my mother.
The photograph represents a huge part in my journey of life. I chose it because turning 18 meant that I was finally an adult who had to make decisions and be held responsible for them. I also love the simple appearance the cake has.
It is important to value the moments that you have with elders in your family. I chose this picture of my mom’s friend and her granddaughter because I strongly believe that people should spend as much time with their grandparents as possible. This is important to me because unfortunately I cannot spend time with my grandparents.
