Anxiety is the dizziness of freedom.

Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength: carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.

Andela Boot camp day 5 was a real buzz. “Lets start with a warm up exercise”, was our trainers remark. The “warm-up” exercise metamorphosed into a full blown test that took almost the whole day. From exercises on AndeLabs to challenges at HackerRank. It was a frenzy. People struggled to complete tasks, and those who couldn’t got it “someplace” else. They could have done it given the time, but given that the day has been termed, “Judgement Day”, made everyone want to finish so as to impress.

Like every other day, it came to an end and we had to go knowing that some of us wont be coming back to complete the journey. Not because they weren’t good, but as it was said, “the bar is that high”.

The dreaded mail came in on Sunday of all days. It was back to old times when we were preparing for the homestudy and interview. Every mail brought a mixture of fear and hope. Fear because it could be bad news, and hope because it could lead you to the next step.

To all my comrades, those whose fears and hopes alike where fulfilled, I say keep faith and live your dream.
