“Be patient” and what for ?

I grew up hearing patience is the greatest vertue. They say: you have to be patient to acheive your dreams, to get what you long for, to make wishes come true, to find love, to find a job, bla bla.

but where my angels(and demons) come from: patience is a half pill of Xanax !

I tried patience, and the truth is: I never felt more numb. Sticking to the piece of the ground I’m stepping in, waiting for magic to happen shuts off my feelings, and when they are shut, I just stop wanting.

Chaos and fireworks don’t keep still, they explose and happen. It’s fine to not be patient, hours, days and years doesn’t wait, they just pass and go on. And if earth, suns and stars go around day and night, why would anyone force himself to stay still ?

We are what we are, and if the moral of the story we have been told at bed time when we were kids isn’t serving our growth and well being today, screw it, rewrite it again, and don’t forget to teach your kids to do so one day.

Embracing our reality, and taking controle over its strings are the real greatest vertue.
