Power out on Metro-North, afternoon train heading into NYC from Connecticut.

The train shuddered to a stop as the storm rolled in. There was an unintelligible announcement over the PA, something about the crew trying to figure out if it was a problem with the train or a problem with the power supply. The blast of the AC died down, and the train became unusually quiet. But then, the people on the train, who are normally silent and glued to their phones, began to do something out of the ordinary — they began talking to each other, initially…
