I’ve found the word ‘judge’ a couple of time throughout the article and comment where you made it clear how much you hate being judged. I hate it too. But the irony is, all you did in your article is judging your family. Nice. ☺
If I close my eyes and try to imagine where I’d be today if my family wasn’t beside me all these time, I see nothing but darkness. And yes, I don’t like everything about them. In fact, they may have more things I hate than I like. But does that mean that I should not love/connect/care for them when I don’t need them anymore? That wouldn’t align with my personal definition of humanity. And at the end of the day, no one is perfect. Not me, not them, not you. Your family members can judge you the same way you did.
So yeah, I guess it’s just your bad luck that you don’t have a family you feel like you should love. (And it’s not surprising that you know other people with that same bad luck. Almost all of my friends are like me. It’s a well known fact that we tend to find and make friends with people who’s just like ourselves.) But for the rest of us, family is truly one of the very few things we actually 'own' in this whole wide world. ☺
