#MindfulMinuteChallenge Day 7 — Make your 1:1's meaningful

Remote teams are hard to keep engaged — period. Sometimes when hosting my team calls or during one on ones I find myself glancing at that incoming text message or the growing emails entering my inbox on around the next project or meeting. I also know most of my employees are doing the same — it takes the average person 2 minutes to refocus when they go off task. As a result we are only giving 50% of ourselves to the folks on the other end of the call, and tanking our productivity. Today’s challenge is to shut off all screens during that 1:1 and figure out what does that person really need from you that their not saying — it’s amazing what you learn when you listen intentionally with no distractions.
