Taking Flight
Finally, We have completed Amal Career Prep Fellowship. Now it was our last session.
We had a lot of fun on the last day of the fellowship. It was very sad for me that I was about to say goodbye to my friends in such a good environment and at the same time excited that I had completed the three-month course. All my fellows were suffering from double feelings same as me. First, we did a reflection on our 3 months journey. After that, we attended Sir Saad’s workshop on mental health. Sir told us many good things and also conducted an assessment.
As soon as the workshop was over, Sir Uzair addressed us for the last time. It was very difficult for Sir to say goodbye to all of us. The best part was that Sir Uzair had written farewell letters for all of us, which were in letter form on proper color paper.
After that Sir Waqas gave us the last address in which he was very excited that he had taught us many things successfully which were Leadership, Communication Skills, and Team Work.
Sir Waqas said to us that this fellowship is like biryani and Afreen, Mansoor and Umair play the role of the chest piece and leg piece in this biryani. It was an honor for me. He played a game with us which was very instructive for us. In the game, we took a ball of rope and a fellow started it and he had to pass the ball to any guy he wanted to appraise.
And then the next person would wrap the rope slightly around the hand and dedicate it to the next person, thus creating a network of the whole class. When the rope was returned to the first person and the game was over, he explained that we are all like a family, if one pulls the rope, everyone gets hurt. That day Sir explained to us that now we have become a family.
After that, we had a farewell party where we had delicious food. Then we did the cake-cutting ceremony for our respected teachers. We all decided that we would have a meetup after two months so that we would not be separated from each other. And finally, we all took off our appreciation letters and came home but that day was the most memorable day of my life.
