First let me thank you for stopping by to read my article I hope that it helps you in some way. I want to talk about a resource for front end development that believe is heavily under utilized. Github pages is a phenomenal resource that is quick, simple to use, and more than likely you already have an account and use it on a daily basis. Github pages allows you to display a static webpage meaning if you have a front end project within your repositories in a few simple clicks you can have a static webpage on display for everyone to see! First thing you need to ensure is that the main entry point (home page) is named index.html within the repo that you would like to create a page for. Than go to your settings for that repo and scroll down to the Github pages section.

Select the master branch from the source drop down menu and click save and that is all you're done!!! Once you have clicked save github will give you a link that you can now share anywhere you would like. Still working on that project? No problem when you push changes to your repository Github pages will automatically update and push the changes to your site when you “git push”. This is a great service for front end developers that want to showcase your work. If you have any questions or want to see more examples follow me on https://github.com/arobida.
