There is an old saying that goes “It takes a whole village to raise a child” and it didn’t come out of nowhere and for no reason. To raise a child is difficult, all consuming, tricky, a lottery, even. But there would be an option within the law that would enable the parents to trade places with their son, as tribute, if only to show that they understand the extent of their son’s deed AND their own responsibility in that.
