You know? We thought they were instantaneous, but it didn’t take us long to realise that nothing really changed. That capitalism and communism were different only in theory or in the mind of an idealist. In real life it’s the same cat in another bag (I’m not sure that I got the proverb right). The same greed for power, the same inequalities, the same manipulation of the masses, the same mindset. It’s dog eat dog and struggle for survival no matter how uncanny and foul the method. This apparently justified struggle will lead humans not to survival, but to self destruction, paradoxically. It will just take a while. But I’m starting to wax philosophical. Bottom line, nothing really changed and the same things that you lived through, we lived through, whether we call it communism or capitalism.
