Condom Delivery: After School Sends Condoms, Info to High School Students

Thousands of condoms and safe sex tips viewed over a million times have been delivered to high school students throughout the U.S. by After School.

After School is a teen social network that connects them with their classmates and betters their lives. Outside of the connections and interactions that occur each day on active networks in over 85% of U.S. high schools, After School, with partners, launches unique campaigns to address social issues and give high school students unique opportunities in a unique way.

Thousands of condoms were delivered as a prize for the top scoring school in the nation in After School’s in-app video game, Eggplant Invaders 2. The game was created to present safe sex and condom tips to teens, who aren’t receiving proper sexual and reproductive health education in school.

“We truly care about the teen students we serve at After School and genuinely want to make a positive impact on the world,” said After School Vice President Jeff Collins. “Teens aren’t receiving sufficient sexual and reproductive health education in school, and if we can help bridge that gap even a little bit, then it’s our responsibility to do everything we can to help.”

After School is excited to follow up this project with other unconventional campaigns designed to raise teens’ awareness on important issues. For more information on this effort and After School campaigns, email press@afterschoolapp.com.
