The Breakup 101: An Unforgettable Tale of Joy and Heartbreak.

According to science and ED:

“When your heart broken, though, all those lovey-dovey chemicals wash right out of your system, leaving you victim to stress hormones. Your brain pumps your body full of cortisol and epinephrine.”

Boooo, to the ugly truth.

Heartbreak, no amount of pain has ever felt so agonizing or concentrated, when your heart is broken. Yes, breakup is a bitch and heartbreak is a momma bitch.

You cry, you scream, you just want to cuddle up to a pint of caramel ice cream and watch Netflix and not-chill. Instead, you need to get dopamine levels up. The best way to do this is by doing some of the activities you love to do, like things that bring you joy. True story.

Based on my long-term relationship experience with my latest ex-boyfriend. Oh yes, 6 years, we laughed, we cried, we lied together, and now, just like Charlie Puth’s song, we don’t talk anymore. It took me months to get over it.

I wish I can be like Taylor Swift who turns heartbreak into huge hits, but I know nothing about tunes and intonations, so forget about that.

Let heartbreak be heartbreak, sometimes you need to enjoy the joy of sadness, open your heart “find someone who compliments you and doesn’t complete you.” But don’t rush yourself to get a new one, surround yourself with positive people who see greatness within you even when you don’t see it yourself, travel more, read more, exercise more, watch movie, listen to the music, focus on yourself, set your goals, pursue them and stay positive.

Remember,

“Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle.”

And go find your new love, because

“Love can melt the hardest heart, heal the wounds of broken heart and quiet the fears of the anxious heart.”

I promise, you’ll get better.
