WHAT IS SERVICE?
Customer service is crucial to being successful in business, especially in the hospitality/sales based industries. Service is something more than how it is defined in the dictionary, “the act of helping or doing work for someone.”
Service is doing whatever it takes.
Service means being at the mercy of your clients needs. Service means going above and beyond. Service means doing the most you could for your customer or client. Service is exceeding expectations. I implore you to practice supreme service. Stop being lazy. Stop doing the minimum.
The quality and level of service you provide is in direct proportion to how much value you provide!
Thus you produce commission or money that you take home at the end of the day. But, keep in mind- if you are just working for dollars, and not for the love of helping people, then you need to find another thing to do- period. You need to provide value. 51/49. That means give more than you take. You want the person or people you are servicing to feel like they are special and they deserve to be taken care of, after all, they chose YOU to service them. There are 7 billion people in this world and they chose to hire YOU! Remember that the next time you are dealing with a difficult client……
