I appreciate this piece and the defense of working with folks of all stripes but find Caitlin Johnstone’s conciliatory tone disingenuous here (suggesting alt-left/alt-right differences are largely a product of media-induced tribalism) when most of her other pieces spew vitirol towards Establishment Democrats without pause, i.e. conjure the very countenance of tribalism itself.
I hope that anyone reading Caitlin’s pieces can look past the tribalism and try to converse with people from all stripes on the political spectrum, against corporatism and corruption.
Most people I speak with are generally in favor of this (even Establishment types from both sides of the aisle, who constitute the majority of folks in the district where I’m from) — the messaging just needs a tune-up from person to person.
