ALCAZABA
The Alcazaba of Malaga is an absolute must-see for anyone interested in history. It dates back to the early 11th century and is a beautiful example of the Moorish architecture.
Tip: If you can’t visit Alhambra in Granada, the Alcazaba of Malaga will be a perfect substitute for you.

PEDREGALEJO
Nice beach, delicious seafood and relaxed, village like atmosphere — what else can one ask for? We like to walk there, since it’s a beautiful route by the beach.
Tip: Make sure to eat fresh fish and seafood prepared on espetos while in Pedregalejo.

MALAGUETA BEACH
One of the nicesest beaches on Costa del Sol, located just 10 minutes by foot from the Malaga’s city center. It has moderate swells, so will be good for kids too. The beach offers many services such as sunbed and umbrella rentals as well restaurants and beach bars.

GIBRALFARO VIEWPOINT
An absolute must-see in Malaga. This viewpoint offers a beautiful view of Malaga, its surrounding mountains, port, Old Town and Mediterranean Sea.
Tip: You need to reach the viewpoint by foot, so try not to go there in full sun.

JARDIN BOTANICO
A perfect place to escape the heat in summer. The garden has more than 50 thousand plants and is one of the few gardens with subtropical plants that exist in Europe.
Tip: Admission is free on Sundays between 1st October & 31st March, 14:00–17:30 and between 1st April & 30th September, 16:30–20:30

PARQUE DE MALAGA
Another good place to escape the heat in summer and admire beautiful tropical plants — coming from the five continents! It’s conveniently located between the city center and the port. For those travelling with kids: there are playgrounds in the park as well :)

CENTRO HISTORICO
The Old Town of Malaga is definitely one of the city’s highlights. The architecture of this part of the city is really breathtaking. It’s also very lively, full of restaurants, cafes and shops.
Tip: Make sure to visit the Malaga Cathedral and Plaza de la Constitución.

Muelle Uno is an open-air complex, full of different restaurants, bars and shops along a beatiful waterfront promenade. It’s located next to the city’s port.

LARIOS STREET
Probably the liveliest street in Malaga. It’s also the city’s main shopping street, where the most exclusive stores in town are located.
Tip: It is a pedestrian street only, so it’s best reached by foot.
