Day 308/365: Slow Motion
Nov 4 · 1 min read

I wish we lived in slow motion
Smooth drags of precious moments in perfect lighting
S t r e t c h e d
L o n g e r
Lingers over belly-brewed laughter with like-minds
Tears spilling from the happiness overdose
Grins too wide
Joy too big to not be taken in bits
I wish we lived in slow motion
So, maybe we would be stuck in befores
When things were simpler
And not buried beneath a mound of whats and whys
I wish we lived in slow motion
So, I could savour bliss
Relish the taste of pounded yam on my tongue
Wriggle harder to the loud music
Immerse myself in the flapping winds
Transplant the beach to within
with my nostrils
Live them longer
Maybe
I wish we lived in slow motion
Then, maybe we wouldn’t be here
Yet.
