Mark Twain Can Help You With Your Troubles

It’s all in your head.

“I am an old man and I have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened” — Mark Twain

Humans have a tendency to overreact.

We tend to find the negative.

And as Mark Twain says, most of it is in our heads.

I think he hits the nail on the head here.

Perception is reality, and if we perceive difficulties then we will find them.

Stay calm and slow down.

Sometimes it’s helpful to picture the worst-case scenario, but don’t get carried away.

I assume things will be terrible quite often. But inevitably things turn out fine.

I freak out for no reason.

I too have experienced many troubles, but most of them never happened.
