Alyssa Sharp

The past few days in class I have had the opportunity to interview Alyssa Sharp. As she told me about her life, what she loves, and what she hates, I felt that I needed to tell you about her. She is such a warm, caring person, and I want the rest of the world to see her the way that her friends do. I want to share with you a few thoughts Alyssa shared with me to give you a glimpse into who the real Alyssa Sharp is. When I asked her whom she would invite over for dinner if she could invite anyone in the world, she responded with “I don’t know maybe the president because like he’s someone that’s influential in the country, and you get to hear what’s going on in their head like about what they think about political policies, and just like you make assumptions about how they’re thinking, but like you don’t know unless you actually talk to them.” Then I asked her about what her perfect day would be like. “Nothing really like comes to mind like I have to do this for it to be perfect, but I love having fun with friends and family and like anyone really just doing something fun that I enjoy. That would be a perfect day.” Finally, she told me the jist of her life story, about who she is and what she does. “I have always lived in the same house in Mt. Prospect, I went to St. Raymond’s catholic church for 11 years, my family lives in mostly the midwest, I’ve been friends, like I have a couple of friends from middle school, like Amy and Dana, that I’ve been friends with from St. Rays, I go to prospect, I play golf, I’ve ran track since fifth grade up until my sophomore year of high school. (Why do you play golf?) My mother told me either cross country of golf, and golf is a lot less physically taxing, but I ended up really liking it and wanting to get better at it. I have two siblings. One is a freshman in high school and one is a second grader. Anna didn’t finish at St. Raymond’s, she transferred out after sixth grade and went to Lincoln. Emilia’s still at Ray’s. We all have different hair colors! I’m blonde, well technically blonde, Anna’s brunette, and Emilia’s a redhead!” Alyssa was a great person to talk to and I loved getting to hear things about her that I’ve never heard before. She’s such a swell girl, and I hope I was able to shed a little light on Alyssa Sharp so that you all could see how awesome I think she is.
