反送中運動即將踏入第六個月,打開報紙,「零售寒冬」、「食肆末日」之說,從不休止 — — 香港零售貨值繼續下跌(連續八個月),張宇人繼續警告酒樓即將出現大規模倒閉潮,蘭桂坊協會(被警方催淚彈波及後)繼續呼籲政府推出措施,刺激消費,打救世人。很多人心目中,香港要回復「正常」,其一指標是市民大眾恢復消費。毫無疑問,這是資本社會的一貫邏輯。

作為消費者,我近月偏卻碰上無數奇景 — — 旺角行街,MK仔女破格以「黃藍地圖」為羅庚,探測到「黃店」就蜂擁「懲罰」,一見「藍店」就繞路而行;社區連儂牆前,無數中年人初次接觸何謂conglomeration,努力背誦飲食集團旗下食肆「清單」(又名「清算名單」);繁忙時間,不少OL三過港鐵站口而不入,寧願排長龍坐巴士,捨易取難……作為消費者委員會《選擇月刊》多年讀者,我的印象裏,香港消費者從沒如此反常過。
