Ahiru Rambles #2: Justin Wack and the Big Time Hack (Demo)
The time hack is [CLASSIFIED]
Does your love life suck? Are you knowhere ready for your finals? Did someone pull you out of your time and forced you to embrace the curse of modern western civilization? Then you should TOTALLY try this demo.

First, the story: It has time travel, nerds, a caveman and scary robots wearing trench coats. However, instead of an epic sci-fi adventure, it’s a lighthearted comedy, with a script that doesn’t aim for the big laughs, but for the soft chuckles. The jokes are sometimes cheesy, sometimes simple, sometimes meta. But rarely bad.

From the british voice acting to the cartoonish designs, the game exudes charm no matter from where you look at it. The backgrounds are eye candy and the characters are not as static as they may look like. The game it’s only a cereal advertising from being a saturday morning cartoon.

As for the gameplay, the controls work flawlessly, I didn’t found any important bug, and the puzzles follow enough cartoon logic to be fun, but not enough to be tiresome. Exploration is an important part in graphic adventures, and the demo makes good use of it’s 3 playable characters to give you a good summary of their stories.

Overall, is a was a pretty satisfying experience. You can download the demo from either warmkitten’s official website, Steam, itch.io and Gamejolt. The game’s kickstarter starts on November 5th so, if you like what you see, consider spread the word and maybe support their campaign.
