The #KeepCalm Challenge!

“I’m a very nervous, shy person”. Grimes

Every person gets nervous at some places of time. Like when you are having an interview or when you are going to meet a girl at first time you get nervous or shy. I also face this this type of problem as I am not a confident person at all. But there are many techniques to overcome this problem but the most important and effective technique is “breathing exercise” to relax in 10 minutes or less. This technique is all about controlling your breath and it not only keeps your mind and body functioning, it can also lower blood pressure and promote feelings of calm and relaxation. There are 6 breathing techniques but I will tell you 2 that I use to do.

I often go to some quiet place such as tomb of Jahangir to perform this activity and remove all my distraction such as mobile phone for 10 minute. I can’t explain how this activity helps me. This technique is called “Equal Breathing”. In this technique I sit still and inhale for a count of four, then exhale for a count of four through nose. This increases my focus and calm nervous system. This activity is effective anytime, anywhere but I use to do it in morning. Another technique is “Alternate Nostril Breathing” in which you have close the right nostril with thumb and inhale deeply from left nostril then close the left nostril and exhale from right nostril. This activity is more effective when there is need have focus or energize.

Both of these activities help me a lot in to fight against nervousness and regulate my blood. This brings calm and balance and balance can do a body good. After performing these activities I feel more energetic and feel like all of my body parts are working perfectly.

These activities are even more helpful whenever you feel nervous before doing something special like before interview because when you are able to control your breath you can control your mind as well. With a controlled mind you can feel more relaxed, calm and handle each situation with ease.

This activity can be improved according to own choice. You can find more quiet place give more time to this activity as to find more relaxation.
