The art of giving
Here’s something I believe in; the least tangible or measurable things in life are the most influential and the things we tend to overlook are actually more valuable than those we prefer to delve into. For instance, how does words of appreciation or gratitude stack against profanity, small talk, or the worst; condescendent! It takes more courage to be humane. That is mine to believe…
The innate ability to form groups, communicate, and build cultures are the only means of survival to the human animal since the dawn of times. Since the human animal is a social animal, survival had always been solely dependent on the language and words. Think of it for a second, if survival is to be for the strongest, then why had the dinosaurs went extinct? The ability to ’share’ experiences and build bridges of knowledge led to the evolution of the human species. Regardless of the language or the geographic location, this is the way the human being was actually built; to build.
Culture and religion are spread through the written and spoken word, think of all the religions you can list, and all the ancient cultures the human being ever knew, they were all presented through words in various languages and different times. And the purpose still remains the same; to build and push the race forward. -In my humble opinion, that is what every religion is about, no religion was ever bestowed upon the human race to captivate. The purpose is to set oneself free-
Anyways, I skipped tons of flimflam, and here’s what I think the nitty-gritty is; the purpose of this is to shed a light on why words were invented, whether by the human nature or by god himself! And to place huge importance on the things that can never be easily measured; like the effect of our words on others -and our own selves for the matter- Because every belief was once a bunch of words, every truth was a possibility in the making, and every hope was an inner voice ‘telling’ that there’s more. Build that, watch it grow, and never suppress the human inside. Remember, you’re a couple of words away from killing an innocent being.
Give relentlessly, even when it doesn’t make a ‘measurable’ sense, make a difference, and share a story. That is everything that makes you a human being.
