In Person Dropping

In person drop is very energetic idea about to visit organization’s office and giving a brief introduction of you if it experienced. In this activity, a person can go some office, can see the environment and can observe by glancing that he can fit here or not. By in dropping your documents you may face many problems and can learn from them.

Similarly, I used to have an experience by dropping my resume along with cover letter to a place about 20 kilometers distance from my home. I think that it may take 40 minutes to arrive there on public transport. But in actual it took more than 70 minutes to reach due to orange line construction. So, the first thing I learnt that day is to manage the time that I should kept in mind while I have to go to interview.

When I reached there I was asked that Project Manger is not available. He has gone to visit site where project is going on and it may take more than 2 or 3 hours. Then, I used to wait for him and waited for him. After passing 90 minutes approximately, he came and visit different department and almost after 2 hours he went to his office. The gatekeeper is not allowing me to go inside and insisting that I must leave. I said him all right and ask him to put my university card to him and he asked all right and go. He put my card in front of him and came back and asks him he called me inside.

I used to go inside and told about myself that I have been graduated from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore as Town Planner. I have done an internship in very relevant field of planning at Urban Developers Associates and currently looking for a job opportunity. I also told about my projects in the field of planning. He remarks me good and asks that we will call you soon if you are short listed.

So, the lesson learnt from the story is that we must keep our self consistent for a consistent professional career.
