Interest in Others

Learning from the reading is more you take interest in people they will also take more interest in you we have to make them feel that we are really very interested about them.

The gift of time is often more valuable to the receiver and more satisfying for the giver than the gift of money. We don’t all have the same amount of money, but we all do have time on our hands, and can give some of this time to help others — whether that means we devote our lifetimes to service, or just give a few hours each day or a few days a year.

There are the following thing which make you interesting and people take interest in you:

  • Become genuinely interested in other people
  • Always be smile, when you to others
  • Remember that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language
  • Be a good listener, encourage others to talk about themselves
  • Talk in terms of the other person’s interests
  • Make the other person feel important — and do it sincerely

THE LESSON

People naturally want others to be interested in them, and offering this interest is one of the most beneficial things you can do. The more you display interest in others, the more they will in turn display interest in you and want to help you. When in interviews, build rapport with your potential employer by demonstrating a genuine interest in the person and his or her organization. Everyone loves to have other people interested in them, and like to hire such people.

Applying this lesson in real life make me interesting and people take interest in me as like I interview a person about his life when I asked about himself my questions make him curious why am I asking to him about these thing about his life. This was a great experience for me.

How to win Friends and influence People” is a classic book by Dale Carnegie with a pretty self-explanatory title. I read this book Chap №2 recently, and was surprised to find that it epitomized a lot of the wisdom I had already picked up from a variety of other sources.
