Kids should not be left to do what ever they want. parents can allow their kids to play the games if they feel that the kids are mature enough to handle it and will not be influenced or take example from the game, but they should still be told of the issues with it such as racism and things like that. As for music it is haram and not listened to at all. For movies, parents should guide the kids and let them know and remind them that it is not the right example to take. The kids should be restricted in terms of what movies and games they can play depending on who the kid is and how maturely they can handle the movie or game that they are watching or playing. generally they do not have that much of an impact but movies more so than games. you see kids trying to act like or take example from cool characters in movies but it is usually not that bad but that depends on the kid.
