We already know the price of the new LG soundbars
We are at the time of releases in relation to audio and video devices. Just a few days ago we informed you of the prices that new LG TVs will have for 2019. Today is the turn of the soundbars. The Korean manufacturer has prepared a whole new line of soundbars for this year, with Dolby Atmos and DTS: X technologies as the main protagonists.
The new models arrive with the SL designation in place of the SK last year. And within the range, we will have from the 5 series, the simplest, to the 10 series that has been developed together with Meridian. Let’s take a look at the new LG soundbars.
NEW LG SOUND BARS
Like other years, in 2019 the manufacturer wanted to launch devices for all budgets. From simpler soundbars to high-end models with Dolby Atmos technology. The SL5Y, SL6Y and SL7Y models are basic soundbars, with 2.1 or 3.1 channels.

All have the DTS Virtual: X system, which aims to mimic the effects of surround sound using the software. They are equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and are capable of reproducing high-resolution sound.
If we want to level up we will have to opt for a model from the LG SL8YG. This already has sound 3.1.2 channels with two units upstream activation DTS and Dolby Atmos: X. In addition, it has been developed together with Meridian for better music reproduction.
As for wireless playback, it has Bluetooth connectivity and Google Chromecast. In addition, it is compatible with Google Assistant for voice control.
LG SL9Y 2019 soundbars
If we raise the level a little more we find the LG SL9YG, one of the highest range of LG soundbars. It has 4.1.2 channels and a total power of 500W. Finally, we have the LG SL10YG, a soundbar equipped with 5.1.2 channels and offering a total power of 570W.
All models have a wireless subwoofer and none of them comes with rear speakers included. However, from LG they have confirmed that the SL8YG, SL9YG, and SL10YG soundbars are compatible with the SPK8 rear speaker kit.
PRICES AND AVAILABILITY
The new LG sound bars will reach the market in a phased manner. At the moment we know dates and led tv price in BD, but they can give us an idea of how much they will cost in Europe.
The LG SL5Y and SL6Y will arrive on the market in the week of April 14 with a price of 280 and 400 dollars respectively. On the same date, we will also have the LG SL7Y available at a price of 500 dollars.

As for the higher-end models, also in mid-April, we will have the LG SL8YG and the LG SL10YG available. Its price will be 800 dollars and 1,300 dollars respectively.
Finally, the LG SL9YG will reach the North American market at the end of May with a price of 1,000 dollars. We will keep you informed of the price in the Spanish market.
